Experience an energizing morning of outdoor fitness rediscovering Brooklyn’s urban jungle.

Challenge your mind, body and spirit as you complete a 45 minute full body “bootcamp style” workout followed by a 45 minute yoga practice. Complete your morning with a moment of mindful meditation feeling refreshed ready to take on the world again.

We will take care of everything including equipment, water and nutrition to fuel and for recovery.

Start your day with a 45 minute full body “bootcamp style” workout with Joanna Paterson.  Joanna will be coaching you through a series of body-weight exercises to boost your energy levels. Our workout will be on the move, exploring the park to challenge our bodies and inspire us to go the distance!   No equipment needed.

We will take a break, refresh our water bottles.

To balance your day of outdoor fitness you will be enhancing your Yoga practice with Kira, http://www.kiraelisasmith.com/about/ as she guides you through a Hatha based yoga flow to unwind the muscles and quiet the mind. Special attention will be paid to breath awareness in movement. We will round out the set with a restorative deep relaxation and a simple balancing and re-energizing Kundalini meditation. Mat will be provided, however if you prefer to use your own please bring it with you.

  A day of OUTDOOR fitness & wellness in The Nethermead Prospect Park, Brooklyn

9 am : Arrival. You will have already pre-registered & paid so you will be ready to go.
9.30 -10.30am : Start your day with Bootcamp Style workout with Joanna Paterson.

Joanna will be coaching you through a series of body-weight exercises to challenge & energize your day. As mentioned in TimeOut New York we promote “organic fitness”… so we will be making the most of the beautiful geographical space to inspire us.  Dynamic stretching will complete our workout to ease our way into the rest of our day.

No equipment needed.

11- 12:00pm: Yoga in the Park

Your Yoga Teacher Kira, http://www.kiraelisasmith.com/about/ will lead a Hatha based yoga flow to unwind the muscles and quiet the mind. Special attention will be paid to breath awareness in movement. We will round out the set with a restorative deep relaxation and a simple balancing and re-energizing Kundalini meditation.

Mat Required.

12pm – 1.30pm Lunch will be served. Cool water with lemon will also be served.

Relax and get to know your hosts & fellow fitness enthusiasts as will chill under the shade.

Please let us know if you would prefer to BYO lunch as we can recommend many local restaurants for you to pick up lunch from on your way to the park.

Don’t forget before you leave us to enjoy the rest of your day…you will be presented with a goodie bag provided by our sponsors: TBD

Location: Nethermead Area of Prospect Park. The grassy area under trees, off Centre Drive.  Signs will be posted from the Windsor Terrace entrance on Prospect Park Southwest, entering Centre Drive to where we will be set up on the day.

Public Transport: Subway: F & G Trains to 15th street Prospect Park station.

Parking: Local Free Street-side Parking is available.
