Native to New Zealand, I have lived in New York City for 7 years. I am the founder of BODIESYNERGY. My fitness business, allows me to combine my passion for health, fitness & being outside. Enriching clients to be at their fitness-best.

Before creating my own business, I experienced all kinds of “group fitness classes” & training sessions. Those that influenced me were not necessarily considered fitness industry leaders but they had something I wanted for myself; confidence, focus, a healthy lifestyle & they enjoyed their work. How many of us have been in a position where we “dont like our job” ?. So I began with creating a fitness program where I believed the New York industry was weak – a parent & baby workout where you use your ever loving baby as resistance.
I wrote & have developed Babiesynergy since 2009 to answer this need for a class to engage parents, (YES DADs TOO), caregivers and their babies. After a successful 2 years on The Upper West Side NYC, Chelsea Piers (LWS NY) & now in Park Slope Brooklyn, the program continues to grow, as do all the beautiful babies. As a parent, I know what it’s like to juggle work and family life, and also make, time for you in a healthy fitness routine. Through a healthy diet and exercise I have lost over 130+lb, and keep it off for the past 16 years!
When not instructing, training or coaching Joanna competes in long distance cycling events, enjoys feeling the benefits of a wheat, gluten, dairy & caffeine – FREE diet & mostly loves being a parent to her beautiful daughter.
